SGNIC To Implement A Pilot Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Singapore Network Information Centre (SGNIC) will implement VerifiedID@SG, a pilot scheme that aims to enhance the trustworthiness of .sg domain names and prevent abuse of domain names by fake or stolen identity on 2 May 2013.<\/p>\n

The new scheme will apply to all new .SG domain name registration<\/a> (i.e. domain names ending with .sg – e.g. com.sg, org.sg, net.sg, edu.sg, per.sg, gov.sg and .sg).<\/p>\n

Purpose of Implementing VerifiedID@SG for Domain Registration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

VerifiedID@SG<\/a> needs the administrative contact of a ‘. sg’ domain name to verify the identification as well as contact info of the registrant.<\/p>\n

VerifiedID@SG is targeted at reducing making use of fake info associated with a ‘. sg’ domain name enrollment, which will certainly consequently reduce the abuses of the domain and additionally boost the depend on amongst the customers of.sg websites.<\/p>\n
